Today's increasingly multicultural and globally interdependent workplace requires intercultural literacy and cross-cultural communication competence. What and how we communicate depends upon our culture, and our primary culture - the one we were born into - is by far the most important in determining our basic values, beliefs, and ways of communicating and solving problems.
Although we are often not aware of our culture, we carry it into the workplace. When we are surrounded by those who sh
