Anyone who works in manufacturing can tell you that talent gaps exist and that most of those gaps are found in higher skilled positions. Recently, I looked at research done by professional manufacturing associations to help quantify the gaps, identify causes, and look for possible solutions.
In a 2011 study sponsored by Deloitte Consulting and The Manufacturing Institute, 1,123 executives from across 50 states were surveyed and the results compiled into a report titled, Boiling Point? The Skills
