Somewhere, every day, it happens. A person stands up. He starts talking. He continues…and continues…and continues. Soon it becomes apparent. He can’t stop. People lose interest. They fidget. They whisper, “He’s a talkaholic.”
With apologies to anyone with a real addiction problem, many of us learning professionals should confess that we are talkaholics. We can’t help it. It is easy to start talking, but hard to stop.
