ABOUT ME

Kathleen Clark is a Learning Design and Training Specialist who analyzes job performance needs and propose options for engaging and effective learning solutions with respect to individual needs and goals. Identifies and defines learning outcomes by consulting with clients to provide high quality learning experiences. Builds working relationships with SME’s to gather information and feedback to incorporate into learning solutions. Design and execute the design of learning solutions from beginning to end using a variety of tools and learning technology including: storyboards, eLearning courses, Instructor-led Training, job aids, videos, etc. Ensures instructional integrity of learning solutions throughout the design, development and delivery cycles. Utilizes eLearning authoring tools to create engaging and interactive courses. 

She believes that if she does her job well, she can transfer knowledge to end users and walk away without being noticed as missing. Education should support the ideal of full autonomy, while respecting the individual’s job function. Education should be timely and relevant. Kathleen has performed instructional design and training delivery as part of her job function in varying degrees throughout most of her career. She has created documentation and education for many software related projects and has delivered training for many of those as well. She previously worked with healthcare providers and ancillary support personnel to assist with workflow design and support, execute knowledge transfer and create instructional materials. She has experienced a great deal of interaction with subject matter experts over the life of her career. Her variety of work experience demonstrates resilience and a provides a wide knowledge base.

Kathleen’s involvement in IT in many roles from programmer to analyst to project management, demonstrates an ability to analyze and data collect, logically process information, manage competing projects and support multiple project related efforts. Kathleen’s involvement in the healthcare industry demonstrates a proven high degree of confidentiality and trustworthiness. She previously was employed as a Laboratory Information Systems Specialist and performed the duty of an Instructional Designer.

Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Adult Education from Bellevue University and an Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She possesses both Designing Learning and Adult Education Certification from ATD, an Online Learning in Training and Development Certification from Cleveland State University, a Supply Chain Management Basics certificate and is a Certified Medical Laboratory Technician. 

Kathleen comes from a family of celebrated, successful and admired educators, coaches, and mentors and enjoys volunteering for the Cleveland Metroparks Watershed Stewardship Center.
